- Anabolism: It is the process where the simpler molecules are converted into complex compounds such as proteins and nucleic acids. It consumes a high amount of energy, flushing out the toxins and promotes cell growth and repair. This is the reason it is called “Constructive Metabolism”.

The speed of your metabolism remains mostly the same no matter what you eat or when you eat. For instance, it is said that caffeine can burn more calories in less time. Irrespective of your weight, eating less than required can destroy the rate of metabolism at which your body burns calories. Always try to eat 4-5 small meals throughout the day, consisting mostly vegetables, whole grains and lean proteins.
